The Last Day of Band for the Year Audible Intelligence Music
The last day of band can sometimes be a sad time. We reminisce over all of our accomplishments of the year. We say goodbye to some of our students are graduating out of our program. We hope that others will remain in the class. We hope that they will not choose other courses to take instead of ours. We look at all the instruments that need repaired. We look at our budget that has no money for repair. We look at all the instruments need to be cleaned. We have no cleaning budget. So we realize we’re going to need to be cleaning those instruments this summer. We start thinking of all the great times we have the past year. And we start to think about what can we do the next year to make it special as well. As we’re looking through these things we know that we need to find songs for all of our different performances. But we need to find a curriculum that’ll help our kids each year to get higher levels of skill development. The best source that I found to develop these skills in a systematic way is the band method book in the zone it is the best beginning band method book that I have found. It approaches each skill individually and develops it progressively in each unit. This method is very helpful in making sure that all students learn all of the different aspects of music. Often somebody will slip through the cracks in a certain area it will affect their plane. I wonder why someone is having so much trouble with a certain section of the peace and your realize that they have some misunderstanding of how to interpret rhythms. Or they may have somehow not locked in on the skills of how to read their different pitches. If there’s a gap in any of the areas it’s going to affect the other areas as well. If a student can’t read their notes then then I can be able to get the rhythms because the be going by too fast for them since I can’t read the notes. Also if the students do not understand the concepts of key signatures they’re knocking to be able to know which notes have flats or sharps which is going to affect their know reading and the rhythm meeting. It is also important that students understand time signatures or they will not be able to interpret the other aspects as well. So summertime is an important time to be exciting what you should buy for your classroom. A curriculum for band can be life-changing for a band. Just playing through a series of songs does not ensure that students will develop all of the different basic skill areas. That is why be in the zone band method is such a necessity for the classroom. This book is not made for teachers who do not understand a lot about band music. This book is made for experience teachers that can use a tool that makes it easier to Monitor what the students are learning. The teacher needs to still teach the content but just make sure that all of the students do their assignments. This is a great way to prove to administrators that you have covered all of the areas in the curriculum and that students are getting a very well-rounded curriculum. It takes a lot of that busywork time out of the experience teachers today. The other advantage to the in the areas that students cover him private lessons but not if they’re just in band. It has warm-up sections called skilled builders that help develop tone flexibility on the sure muscle building as well as all of the theoretical aspects. Sections of the skill building is made in a call and response fashion so that students can keep their focus on what’s going on in all students can be involved at all times. You can have the teacher or an advance student played the top line anyone else placed the bottom. This method helps the students to hear the desired tone quality in the correct articulation that they would try to make ends each example. Another way to do this is to have a certain section play one part by themselves and the rest of them plays the other this way you can isolate a section or an individual so that you can help them develop their skills while the rest the band is still able to participate and not having to sit and wait. I often do this with a section such as the clarinets. I’ll have them play the AV line and have everyone else play be. Then I can go assess each of the clarinet players to see that they are playing properly and performing the work correctly. The results from this program have been amazing. It is agreed by the teachers who’ve use this method that their skills in their band have increased immensely students have improved and tone quality in sight reading and in rhythm county. Counting. The students are involved actively throughout the book. They do not just read something and have it have it be assumed that they understand. The students have to fill in blanks they have things to do and to ride in and they must respond to complete each unit. The book has 10 units and covers it works in many different key signatures. This is the full band curriculum. It is not just a band book. It’s much more than a band book. It is a very good economical value as well. This book can be used for years. The exercises can be repeated long after all the theory is done. The warm-up exercises are challenging for even older students. It all depends on the teacher and how they want to use the materials. This book could help students all the way through high school. I have had students to go directly from using this method and continue straight to college with great success.
