Trumpet Fanfares – David Turnbull

$40.00

The Royal Fanfares are written in the Baroque style and are meant to be repeated twice.  (Playing a short fanfare back-to-back three times was a tradition during the era; however, they are only played once on the recording.)  These fanfares work well for any occasion.  I’ve used them for everything from madrigal dinners to commencement ceremonies, and they are appropriate for high school, college, semiprofessional and professional musicians.

Gala Fanfare is modern, and like the Royal Fanfares, the individual parts can be played using multiple players.  It too is appropriate for high school, college, semiprofessional and professional musicians.

These pieces may be of interest to students and teachers because of their practicality.  Trumpet fanfares are needed for a variety of occasions, but it is generally very difficult to find fanfares that are accessible to younger musicians and yet appropriate for different occasions.
