Philae – Erik Wendelken

$40.00

The inspiration for this piece came when the European Space Agency successfully landed the robotic lander Philae on the comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko. The spacecraft carrying Philae traveled over ten years, and on November 12th 2014, Philae was the first space probe to land on a comet. After a slow ascending introduction, this piece explodes into three repeating sections that lead the listener on a space journey. This relatively short composition comes to an end with a slow descending section that ensures a successful mission. Enjoy!
